From the Principal
The closing Mass of the college year was held on Wednesday 6 December. This was a very special liturgy as we celebrated the Eucharist. Through our prayers,
music, ritual and talent, we as a College, gave thanks for a successful school year.
Even on such occasions where reverence and prayer are the focus, one can’t but be overwhelmed by the talent and beautiful contributions our girls make to the life of our College.
This morning, I have just returned from attending our Christmas liturgy, which really brought all of our hopes, work and accomplishments into focus for the year as we begin to think about holidays. The liturgy was a beautiful way of preparing for the coming of the Christ Child on Christmas Day. With a thoughtful and reflective script, music, singing, a little dancing and a focus on scripture, students and staff were brought into the Christmas story in a contemporary and dynamic way. For me it was the perfect way to begin reflecting on this season of preparation as I begin to think about the spiritual dimension of Christmas in my life. Now on to House Choirs this afternoon!
